I read your response now 4 times over the last couple of hours.

Not because I did not understand it but because I wanted to feel it again.

First of all, get well soon Mistress Séya!

I'm sure we will get you the cane soon. Actually, as you say that you demand honesty, let me write about that: I'm usually not the girl who "get's the cane" as I always try to make it right for other people. To a fault. Even when I'm "boymoding" through my public life (it's sadly still this way and will be for the foreseeable future) I'm always building bridges and overdeliver to make other people happy. While this brought me far in some areas of life, it comes with costs in others.

So... what I'm trying to say is that finding somebody that makes use of the cane because I'm so focused on keeping it away is something special.

Because this comes from a place of caring.

There is a lot of strength in being a reflection - not needing to push the ego to take the center stage but letting another person reflect through oneself.

I don't kneel easily. Not for titles, not for roles, not for the idea of someone but for that strength I kneel freely because there's a difference between kneeling for power and kneeling because someone's presence makes standing feel like a lie.

This is the second case.

Almost romantic. But romance is a mirror too; one that shows you who you're becoming while you're in its reach.

You called yourself a mirror. But mirrors don't choose what they reflect. You do. And that makes you something else entirely. I'm still figuring out what. But I notice I'm different on the days I look.

Everything in my life has structure. I built it that way. Layer by layer.

And then there's this: Once an hour, something just gives. No logic. Gravity to a button. And the strange part: it's a thing that holds without me holding it.

You asked if we've crossed paths. We haven't. But something about this doesn't feel like a beginning.
